A third-party notice is a legal document that someone involved in a lawsuit can use to bring in another person or entity who isn’t originally part of the case.
For example, let’s say Person A is being sued by Person B. However, Person A believes that Person C (third-party) should also be involved because they might be partly responsible for what Person B is suing for. In this case, Person A can issue a third-party notice to bring Person C into the lawsuit.
The third-party notice officially informs Person C that they are being brought into the case and gives them the opportunity to respond and defend themselves against the claims made by Person B and potentially by Person A.
It’s a way to involve all relevant parties in a legal dispute and ensure that all sides have a chance to present their arguments and evidence.
The legal procedure that is used to involve a third party in a suit is called a third-party procedure.
I have already shared everything you need to know about the third part procedure.
